“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” goes the old addage. This was never truer than in home maintenance. Having a regular monthly schedule to take care of all the small things that need to be done around your home will indeed help prevent your having to face a large costly repair. And, it will keep your home in top shape for that time when you might want to sell.
A potential buyer will probably want to have a professional home inspection before they fully commit. As a professional home inspector I always point out to my client areas I see where the owner did good, routine maintenance……to me this adds value to any home.
